After upgrade to MacOS Mojave, I cannot login or connect to App Store.

I am using the latest MacBook Pro 2018 version. After upgrade to MacOS Mojave, I cannot sign out, login App Store or View my account. It always show "Cannot Connect to App Store". I also upgrade my iMac to MacOS Mojave, my iMac does not have this issue.

How can I fix this issue on my 2018 MacBook Pro?

Thank you

I found a solution that worked for me. It took me two steps, and all credit to BocaBoy in this thread: Re: Mojave installation fails: duplicate App Stores, can't sign in with Apple ID (Macbook Pro, Late 2016)

  1. Disable System Integrity Protection:
    1. Reboot the computer into restore mode (press command-R during startup)
    2. Select Terminal from the Utilities... menu
    3. Enter csrutil disable and press return
    4. Restart
  2. Back up and archive the folder in /Library/Security/Trust Settings before deleting them through Terminal. I'll copy BocaBoy's instructions here for you all:

OK, I just spoke with Apple engineering and they gave me a fix for this. It worked for me and it may work for you. You must know how to use Terminal and access hidden directories with Finder in the root of your drive.

First, make SURE that you've backed up the directory /Library/Security/Trust Settings. Copy it on your Desktop or Downloads directory, or wherever you'll be able to access it.

1. Again, back up the user certificate trust settings files described above. Then, remove them with the following commands, entering your administrator password when prompted:

cd "/Library/Security"

sudo ditto -ck "Trust Settings" TrustSettingsBackup.zip

cd "/Library/Security/Trust Settings"

sudo rm *.plist

2. Attempt to sign into the App Store.

This didn't work for me until I restarted at which point I was able to log in and see all of my accumulated updates. If you're not comfortable working at the system level, DON'T do this. If you are, this may fix your problem. It did for me.

Once you're sure that you've got the App Store working, you can delete the TrustSettingsBackup.zip file as well as the backup of the Trust Settings directory.

3. Reenable System Integrity Protection by repeating step 1 but using the command csrutil enable.

After I modified the Trust Settings directory, I was able to reboot and connect to the App Store and Books Store.

Good luck, everyone!

I have 3 MacBooks that I upgraded to Mojave when it came out. My 2017 MacBook Pro and my father-in-law's 2017 MacBook Pro work just fine after upgrading. My wife's early 2013 MacBook Air on the other hand is having many of the same Mac App Store issues addressed here. I spent several hours chatting with representatives from Apple including Senior Advisors, trying several different things, as well as doing my own research to fix the Mac App Store on my wife's Mac, to no avail. I was able to finally get the App Store to sign out however, but now it won't sign back in. I hope Apple addresses this in an update soon.

I have the exact same problem. I submitted a bug report to http://bugreport.apple.com a few days ago, but there's been no activity on it.

I tried the certificate trust procedure and deleted the files inside /var/db/crls. I'm not running Snitch and I even tried turning off my firewall to no avail.

It's been this way for over a month now as I'm a developer and I've been using the Mojave betas for a while now.

Would love to get this problem solved.

I have the same problem. The thing is, I did not even want to install the new operating system yet, but my iPhone 7 crashed yesterday and after speaking to tech support throughout the day, I was told to update iTunes and my MacBook operating system after my iPhone wouldn't connect. Now the phone is working which had nothing to do with my MacBook but another non-related problem has developed.

I am so peeved!!!!!

Like everyone else, I am experiencing the same issue, and all of the recommended fixes haven't worked. I've been experiencing this for about 2 months now, and have a bunch of outdated apps because I can't log in to update. Calling Apple and having them do simple things like resettings SMC and reinstalling the OS using the recovery partition didn't help at all!

Yeah, it looks like there are multiple issues going on here. I don't run the software firewall on my Macs, I leave that. to the firewall in the AirPort Extreme Base Station. IPV6 isn't an issue for me, as my provider doesn't support it for residential customers, only business. So just thinking what might have been different between my setup and others here that prevented the fix.

I did an in place upgrade over high Sierra. late 2015 27" iMac 32 GB RAM, 2TB Fusion drive. Something that did go well for me that I was wondering if it would or not, is the Fusion Drive was converted to APFS from HFS+ with no issues on Mojave upgrade. This was a question, because Apple pulled Fusion Drive support from High Sierra for APFS.

So, considering this was the only issue I had to resolve.

I really hope you guys get issues sorted soon, I've had minimal issues and as I've said I've resolved all I can, the others remaining in my case are App issues, which I've been in communication with the developers for, and really, it's only one pice of software, and the issue is minor, and doesn't affect daily use of the system.

I do feel for those on this thread, and others I've read that are having issues. I've beta tested for Apple the last few os releases, and know what kind of issues that can come up. Since I didn't really have any issues with Mojave, that weren't easily fixed, I had my hopes more people would be able to experience a problem free upgrade this time around. At least, more so than the last couple versions.
