java not working on mojave

Hi,

I just updated to the new OS, Mojave and I have an error when I try to connect to my work desktop, saying "Java is Unavailable". I installed the newest version of Java thinking maybe it got uninstalled during the update and checked in the Safari Preferences -> security tab-> javascript is enabled, but I get the same message: Java is unavailable.

Do you have any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks

If you need Java plugin support it was removed from Safari 12 just as it has been in Chrome and Firefox for quite awhile. Even Oracle, the maker of Java, has dropped the plugin as of Java 9. One possibility is to restore your system before you upgraded to Mojave using Time Machine. Another is to find a browser that still had Java plugin support. Firefox 52.9 ESR for example.
