Installed Mac OS Mojave yesterday, my printer (Samsung M2070) cannot scan any kind of document. The problem is that it returns an error when I try to scan with JPEG, TIFF etc.
Anyone find a workaround? All functions of the printer work great in High Sierra.

Same here: I have a Samsung C460W (basically the same as Stargoose above) and it's not scanning as it should. It does all the preview steps, scan and fails when trying to save as image (PNG, JPEG, etc.) with an error message.
If I choose PDF, it succeeds in saving a file, which is corrupted and can't be opened by any app (Preview, Acrobat or any other). It's connected via WiFi to my LAN. Prior to Mojave, it was working fine.
I've tried removing all the printers and adding again: useless.
On the other hand, using the provided software (Samsung Easy Printer Manager, v1.02.07 (2015-07-06)) the scanner works perfectly.
When will Apple release a statement/solution for this matter?
It's the same here with the Samsung M2875FW. Does not scan in color mode. Please fix this Mojave bug, Apple!
Same problem here as well. I have a Samsung CLX-6220 and it was perfect working with my old Mac and 10.11 El Capitan. Now I have a new Mac with 10.14 Mojave and now my scanner is not working anymore!
Unbelievable! Works for me, too - with the Samsung M2875FW.

I reinstalled, following directions of lkrupp and it did not work.
For me too: scanning in color gives the error. Black & White doesn't.
Strange. Maybe something to do with color management / color profiles.

I have this problem with the canon pixma TS9550. So I disabled the IPv6 and it worked once with Apple image capture but not in any other way. Now I am back to where I started!

It now functions as it should!

I maybe was not clear in my earlier reply: disabling the IPv6 in the printer settings ( so on the printer itself) solved the problem for me with pixma TS9550

yes, I unchecked the complete TCP/IPv6 protocol in my Samsung SyncThru Webservice... I rebooted the Scanner/MFP and my Mac but it didn't fix the issue...

It seems like it's the Firewire connection! I switched to a USB cable and all is well!
I have an Epson 3200 which was not showing up in PhotoShop or AppleScan. It now works fine with a USB Cable.
