Just updated my OS to Mojave this morning and brought my laptop to work. It was on full charge when I left home. 2hrs after using it, the battery percentage was down to 40% which never happened before during any of my regular use. Also, the texts on the screen are blurry.

my personal update. On November 5th, I opened a case at apple support. Before I already tried a clean install - nothing changed. I was pleased to capture logs and send the them to apple - long time no update, then I was pleased to disable bluetooth and wifi and see how much the battery drains, result 3%, with wifi and bt enabled at least 10%. They told me that disabling wifi and bt is the workaround for me since they come back to me. They came back and pleased me to do a clean install - again, which I did on December 13th 2018, since I haven't heard anything. Great support for a $2200 +AppleCare Protection Plan Notebook.

That's strange. On my computer the battery lasts 7 hours, the same as it did before upgrading the computer. (It's a 2015 MacBook Pro, so it's not exactly new.)
You can try going into Activity Monitor and going into the Energy tab. (See the screenshot below) What applications have a high Energy Impact? Close the apps that do. You can also try turning off Dark Mode.
For the premium prices we are paying for these laptops, these issues should not be present. I mean what were all the betas for. Apple has hundreds of engineers yet this issue still persists. Absolutely pathetic for a company that prides themselves on being at the forefront of premium products.

4% lost without doing anything, the computer was sleeping.
4%.... with my old OS I used to keep it in standby for days without losing any %
OK, having tried the above suggestion I my fan was running continuously and the mac was running slow. Also it didn't seem to be charging at all. 24hrs later still the same. So I reset the System Management Controller (SMC) and we seem to be back to normal, the fan is not running and MacBook is charging. Not sure if the charge will last so I'll let you know.

Just updated my MacBook Pro 13' Early 15 to 10.14.3 and no changes at all. Still have the battery issue, still the battery draining crazy fast, from 100 to 10 for about an hour or so, and loses for about 20-30% in sleep mode over night...
Waiting for the fix!
Hi y'all ! I had the same problem since the update to Mac os Mojave and tried anything including the few updates and nothing worked until today, I found a fix that work very good for me, hope it works for you ( I sign up in this forum especially to share it)
What I did kind of allows the standy mode to turns on on sleep mode when cover lids is closed, as before the Mojave update.
Here are the fews steps : open terminal
type pmset -g
if hibernate mode is not 3 ,
type sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3
then
type sudo pmset -a standby 1
sudo pmset -a standbydelaylow 60
sudo pmset -a standbydelayhigh 60
Hope this works for you. as I stated, before I did this earlier today, my macbook pro did loud fan noise when the lids was closed and when the fan stopped it immediately restarted.
I was reading a lot about Mojave, the pro and con's to update. I went trough most of the posts here and I am still not sure.
I have am MBA 2017. Some of you did not have a bad experience after you update your MBA 2017.
Did someone got the 10.14.4 on their MBA 2017 recently without battery drain problems? I am currently running on HS 10.13.4. With light use I am getting up to 14h of battery life.
“Charged for to long” - I believe there is a system that “disables” charging when the battery is fully charged. Not something we have to manually control. Otherwise, my ssd, battery, cpu or other components temperature doesn’t reach high (over limits) values.

Same here. I have fully charged my MacBook Pro 15" (2017). After 20 hours, the battery level was down to 70%.
I’m having this issue too. I’ve done everything from resetting the PRAM, SMC, and forcing the system to reindex. This issue also occurred in the GM for Mojave too.

Yes, completely insane. Battery drains from 100% to <50% in a few hours in SLEEP MODE (!!) then drops 1% or more per minute when awoken. Obviously this needs to be addressed in next Mojave patch
