Just updated my OS to Mojave this morning and brought my laptop to work. It was on full charge when I left home. 2hrs after using it, the battery percentage was down to 40% which never happened before during any of my regular use. Also, the texts on the screen are blurry.

I believe that no mac should have this kind of issues after updating to a newer MacOS :)
I had the same issues with my 2018 Macbook Pro when it had High Sierra OS installed too.
... it happened to my laptop when I had (clean) install of High Sierra, Mojave and now with Catalina (latest beta). In my case, the OS didn't make a change.
