Just updated my OS to Mojave this morning and brought my laptop to work. It was on full charge when I left home. 2hrs after using it, the battery percentage was down to 40% which never happened before during any of my regular use. Also, the texts on the screen are blurry.

Without any migration. After clean installation after first night it seemed it helped, drained battery over first night around 3% but second and third night again battery drained more then 10%.
I've got also a problem (not charing anymore, motherboard blows battery up):

Because its a firmware issue. My MacBook air doesn't charge even with High Sierra 10.13.
But blows up batteries... Snoops from the design capacity. I think it has something to do power management.
pmset -g log|grep -e " Sleep " -e " Wake "
The spaces before and after sleep and wake are mandatory.
You can downgrade to High Sierra (clean install) thru USB flash drive 16GB. Backup your files on to a hard drive or cloud.
on my side mbpro, I can't find these files in ~/Library/Preferences
com.apple.dekstop.ini and apple.com.desktop.plist
my hibernatemode is still on default = 3 and my battery consumption overnight is range from 1-5% only.

Please restart your Mac once and kindly check in Activity Monitor for any app which is using More Energy. Please remove or update that app, it happens due to the incompatibility of old apps.
My husband and I discussed they exact same point. Less costly to retain happy customers than to acquire new ones.
