Mail 12.0 on Mac not showing Reply or Forward icons

Since upgrading to Mojave, I noticed that when I reply to or forward an email, the little icon does not immediately appear to the left of the email, as it used to.

In order for the icon to show up one has to manually switch/click in between inboxes by clicking on them or by quitting Mail and restarting it again.

This is a very annoying bug when, for example, two people are working on the same IMAP email account from different computers. It is actually impossible to see if your co-worker already replied to an email unless you remember to click on different mailboxes to "refresh" them or quit and reopen mail.

In the previous versions of Mail this was not happening.

I experience something similar - the little icons don't appear immediately (like they've always done). However, I don't need to quit and restart mail to get the icons to display properly - it's enough that I switch to another mailbox folder and thereafter switch back to the original one for the icons to show up. Weird little bug...

I have the same issue. It was there in Mail 12.0 and is still there in Mail 12.1

If I refresh the list, usually by going to another Mail account, then back again, the reply arrow appears.

Same applies for Forward arrows.

Trying to keep this thread active in the hopes that someone recognizes this as a bug and lets us know when there might be a fix. I also now see this Mail behavior on every machine I upgrade to Mojave. It's fine on iOS and machines that don't have Mojave on them.

Same here, on 3 different computers.

It's annoying when 2 or more persons are answering emails on the same mail box at the same time.

Replied arrow only showing when you switch mailbox and come back.

Any news from Apple?

I too am having the exact same problem since moving to a new MacBook Air with Mail 12.0. I cannot see if I have replied to an email without going to my outbox - the reply icon is not showing at all. Incredibly frustrating to work with.

My brand new MacBook Air is showing the same symptom -- not showing the reply icon (arrow). Like others, I discovered that just switching mailboxes makes them show up. Specifically: Just switching from the inclusive "inbox" to Comcast inbox, then back to the inclusive one, and presto! There are the arrows. It's a glitch that needs to be fixed, but for now, at least I know how to uncover them.

I still see the arrow. (See the left of the photo.)

I have this problem too. It is really annoying. I have just completed a new software update to see if it would fix the glitch but it has not.

Also have this issue after updating to Mojave. Very annoying!
