iPhone 8plus & beats headphones

So brand new beats headphone plugged into the 8plus headphone adapters and sound is only coming out of one side. It’s not the headphones as I plug them into my iPad and they work just fine.

Hello Swawrzasek!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I see from your post that when you connected your Beats headphones to your iPhone, the sound only plays to one side. However, when you plug them into your iPad, the sound plays back on both channels. That was a great troubleshooting and isolation step which lets us know the issue is on the iPhone. Let's see what we can do to find a solution.

Have your checked your iPhone's sound settings to make sure it is set to play in both left and right sound channels? The iPhone User Guide gives some instructions on how to change these settings:
HEARING
Adjust the volume balance and mono audio on iPhone

You can adjust the audio volume balance between the left and right channels. You can also use Mono Audio to combine the left and right channels into a mono signal played on both channels. This way you can hear everything with either ear, or through both ears with one channel set louder.

Go to Settings > General > Accessibility.

To adjust the audio volume balance, drag the Left Right Stereo Balance slider.

To combine the left and right channels, turn on Mono Audio.

If this doesn't solve the issue, I recommend that you contact Apple for support and service and see what options are available for your iPhone.

I hope this information helps!

Take care!
