iTunes won't sync photos

Since installing Mojave on my iMac, I can no longer synchronise the photos on my iMac to my iPad Air 2. I have tried assigning the "System Photo Library" but this does not work.

Does anyone else have this issue, and has anyone found a fix please?

I am running my gadgets with the following specs:

iMac (late 2015) on Mojave

iPad Air 2 on iOS 12.0

iTunes on 12.9

Photos on 4.0

iTunes Can't Sync Photos to iPhone 6 When trying to sync Photos V4 (3461.7.160) from my Mac to my iPhone using iTunes Version 12.9.5.5, an error message "Cant sync because your Photos Library is not yet available." This is rather frustrating and annoying and the only solution I can find is to reboot my computer. This is obviously not an ideal solution because one then has to reboot your computer every time one syncs. There must be a simple solution to this issue, but I cannot find one that works and I am looking fo a permanent workable solution to this issue. I am running macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6 on my Mac.

Photos Library not available in Home Sharing or iPhone/iPad sync in iTunes I have a strange problem - I'm migrating an old MacBook Air running El Capitan (10.11.6) to a new MacBook Pro running Mojave (10.14.6). I erased the drive of the MacBook Pro and installed Mojave from the recovery partition, and did a full restore of the old laptop to the new laptop from Time Machine using the Migration Assistant. Apart from the Photos Library not showing up in iTunes, everything else seems fine. Here's the issue: from the syncing options in an attached iPhone and iPad, I can't select the Photos library, and I'm seeing the same thing with Home Sharing > Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV. "Photos" doesn't show up at all, I only see an option to select a folder (screenshot below). I've followed the instructions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204414 to designate the system library, but this hasn't helped. I was able to get "iPhoto" to appear in the selection menu by following the instructions from https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6987566, but that didn't really help. I also tried creating a new user on the new laptop, new iTunes library, and new Photos library. Plugged in the iPad and still wasn't able to select Photos - so the problem seems to be somewhere in the restored system software. Any ideas?

I see that you haven't received an answer to your question. If you are able to provide additional information on what you want to do, then perhaps someone will be able to assist you. Some questions that might be helpful to answer are:

Which troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
Are you able to sync photos from any other devices?
Is your iPad seen on your iMac or in iTunes?
