Mac OS Mojave vertical Dotted lines on native apple software windows

Hi everyone,

I downloaded the new MacOSMojave and I seem to be having some issues with dotted lines that appear in Apple apps/ software such as iMessage - Apple Mail - and Finder. These dotted lines appear after scrolling on those apps. Attached is a picture to show what happens. I have done Safe Mode and Reboots and _cmd alt P R_ ... Nothing seems to be helping out. Does someone have an Idea? Thanks!

If "Reduce transparency" is switched off everything is ok.

You will find it here:

System Preferences / Accessibility / Display / Reduce transparency

Good morning, Al505!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities and thanks for asking about seeing a visual anomaly after scrolling in Apple apps. I can definitely see how that would be irritating and confusing. I'm happy to help.

My first recommendation would be to test in a new user.

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

If you still see the visual issue in a test user, reinstall macOS.

How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery

Please let us know if you're still seeing this issue after reinstalling macOS.

Have a great day!
