After upgrade to Mojave, all screensavers start stuttering within minutes. This includes Apple's own savers, like Flurry and Aerials. Video's from Aerials still play fine in VLC and Quicktime; so it seems to be a problem with the screensaver-system itself.

It has been solved by unchecking the option to ask for password after start of screensaver, in SystemPreferences/Security and Privacy/General/
No, it's an Apple TV screensaver. On a Mac it's a separate download. All screensavers are affected though, not only those that need a lot of cpu/gpu. Good news (for me anyway) is that Lotsawater works again.(1st couple of minutes)
What is "Aerials"? It's not on any of my Mojave installs.
Well, I ran Flurry on 3 different Macs running Mojave for up to 10 mins and it didn't stall, stutter or any odd behavior so I have to suspect it's something about your machine.
Glad it's sorted. I never have that checked.
