Need help with my apple ID

Basically, I got an email from Apple saying that my account has "been frozen along with all the additional services due to missing personal information, which prevented our system from verifying and updating your full identity." The reason why was because they detected suspicious activity, which was not the case. Afterwards, they attach a link at the bottom of the email for me to review and update my personal information. However, when I was trying to review and update my personal information, my phone number I typed in did not work. Why? Because it was automatically set to the US region, and I am not from this region. I am unable to type in my REAL phone number because it wants a 10 digit phone number. I can't change the region halfway through updating my personal information too. So what on earth am I supposed to do?

Sounds like you have received a scam message attempt to phish for your personal information. I suggest you delete it.

If you provided any information to it then you have compromised your personal information.

Apple will always address you by your name or the name they have on file for you, not Dear Customer, Dear Client or by using your e-mail address. The e-mail will be from @apple.com or @iTunes.com. E-mail addresses can be spoofed. You can go to Mail/View/Message/Show all Headers to see more. Apple e-mails will never contain an attachment. Apple will never request personal information such as Social Security numbers.

The only exception to the above I have noticed is if you order something from the Apple Store (apple.com), your receipt will be addressed to Dear Apple Customer. That is a receipt for a purchase you initiated.

Avoid phishing emails, fake ‘virus‘ alerts, phony support calls, and other scams

Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store

Send the e-mail to Apple as an attachment to a new e-mail before deleting it. You can forward as an attachment by going to Mail/Message/Forward as attachment.
