Screentime limit not working

I was talking to an Apple rep at one of the Best Buys where I live. She really didn't know anything about screen time. She knew about everything else but I just don't think this is a priority for those working there and/or for Apple. You are right, instead of creating better ways to manage time and usage, it is creating new ways to argue which again, is useless to me. Either the entire component is buggy or they have designed it in such a way that no parent understands. Either way it is becoming more and more useless to me.

I also see people saying things like "I use the old fashioned way and just take it away". Well that would be great but my school assumes you have some sort of device to check your schedule, your homework, your calendar, etc. I could just take it away but it would handicap them at school.

For me this is the most critical issue that needs to be fixed. It is causing a bunch of problems in my house and with the addition of my schools all but requiring it, I need this to work properly. Don't even get me started on how my son has figured out how to circumvent it all together. With him, I feel like I am constantly chasing his creative ways to get around "the system".
