How to update the bios of my MAC

As I was unable to boot through bios in my windows laptop and I have to do that on my Dell laptop to boot the system after the firmware update. A similar thing is also happening with my MAC because it is showing that a system disk has been crashed. I have researched regarding this and got to know that bios have to be updated. I have done that with the help of Dell bios update. Provide me with the process to do that on the MAC platform.

Software update My MacBook Air doesn’t have OS due to some technical problems that I faced during the installation of OS through technical apple team they scheduled me for an appointment but I couldn’t reach out due to work issues if it possible kindly schedule me again for today because I’m off.
