Dual Sim Capability

I received my iPhone XS Max today and am wondering when the Dual Sim option will actually become available. It states in the "Using Dual Sim with an eSim" article that this option will come with iOS 12, but this phone is already equipped with iOS 12 and I do not have these options in settings.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
