Blank CDs Not Showing on Desktop
This is happening since updating to Mojave. Is there some setting I'm missing? I do see the disk when I open Disk Utility.

I am seeing the same problem after installing Mojave. I did discover a work-around until Apple gets the bug fixed. With Finder selected, go to File>New Burn Folder
Then put the files into it that you want to burn and burn as you normally would. It works for me. It's a few extra steps from what I usually do but at least I am able to burn my backup Bluray discs.
Be sure to report it to Apple as I mentioned above.
Just did. Called as well...TY
Very helpful thank you.
I could burn a blank Cd by going through this method.
Hope they fix the bug quickly.
me too.. I thought my discs had gone bad and threw them out and bought some new ones. Turns out.. they work everywhere except Mojave.
Thanks for the info! I'm not familiar with Paragon, but will give it a try. 🙂
I believe this is off topic. This discussion is about CDs not showing on the desktop, not hard drives.
Thank you! Been fighting this for an hour. Your workaround works just fine.
This will sound like blasphemy, but the work-around is only viable with a Mac optical drive.
Thank you so much for this workaround. I have the problem but the workaround saved me (and it's not a Mac optical drive)
This is happening to me as well. Hope Apple has a fix soon! Frustrating...
