iPhone XS Max poor signal

You cannot use FaceID on anything but the iPhone X right now. The 8 doesn’t have the hardware for it. And on the iPhone X, the FaceID is not an app but it is a feature embedded into iOS.

There are some apps that have facial recognition features in them, but those are app specific - they cannot be used to secure or unlock anything.

I’m having the same issue. I only had the phone for one week and I don’t want it anymore because of the poor signal. I have contacted my carrier and they have done a lot of troubleshooting that’s not working. I’m disappointed with the signal issue. I hope this issue get resolved soon.

Well, i had same problem with two iPhones I have bought. I also showed Apple with thousands of people complaining, however, Apple claimed that they were not awared of this issue. They gave me a new phone with same connectivity issue. There is no software that can fix this problem, "Intel" is not a good chip maker, period. If you go back to iPhone 8 or earlier with Qualcomm, you will not have this issue. Unfornately, Apple will no longer use Qualcomm chip in the future to maximize their profit.

Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

If no help, the next step would be to contact your cellular carrier.

If you don't feel it is a carrier problem, feel free to return the device under the Apple 14 day return policy and select a phone that does meet your needs.

I've returned it yesterday. Beautiful device but, as long we call it phone, it must do the work of a phone and mine did not.

Same here. Back to my x until further notice or update. Time will tell. I’m actually posting this on my x. If I was on my xs, I’d drop wifi at this range.

I’m having difficulty as well. Many areas where I had good cell service don’t connect.

I’m having the same issue. @Apple please help us. My job consists of me using my phone. Please fix iPhone XS Max signal issues.

Interesting thought Dswan I wonder if you’re right. But if you are you’d think Apple would know that.

Please note that Apple in general doesn't acknowledge issues except when they release a fix.

Im going to try this and see if my service comes back in areas that I had excellent service with my X. Hopefully it helps

I’ve had horrible cell reception too! Apple needs to fix this ASAP!
