Apple Pencil bugs (jump scrolling and straight lines appearing, also dots...
I will be writting in the notes app with my Apple Pencil on my iPad pro (2017, 12.9”, iOS 12), with my palm rested on the screen, when suddenly the page jump-scrolls upwards, and in doing so causes a straight line to appear from where the Pencil touched the screen up to where it jump-scrolled.
I think this appears to only happen when my palm is resting on the screen, and strangely enough, if I go into a different note, it doesn’t do the same thing.
This is SERIOUSLY ANNOYING, considering I paid almost £800 for the “best tablet money could buy”, and a further £100 for a stylus. It’s incredibly distruptive to my work flow, and simply infuriating.
Furthermore, there appears to be another serious bug, which I think might be more to do with the Pencil firmware or connectivity rather than the iPad itself. Basically if I draw a stroke accros the screen, lots of tiny little dots appear along the line of the stroke I drew, and in a very laggy/delayed way. This bug happened to me for the first time today, whereas the other bug happens way way WAY more, it’s been happening since iOS 11 for me, but then again I didn’t own an Apple Pencil when I was on iOS 10.
Is is anyone else having these problems, and have any of you found an instant fix, or a way to avoid this happening altogether, whilst I *PATIENTLY* (said through gritted teeth) wait for apple to stop mucking around with Animojis and pretty dynamic wallpapers, and actually sort a HUGE flaw with their £100 accessory reported by a plethora of users since at least the last two years!!
would you look at that, I’ve now wasted a good 15 minutes of my time whilst I’ve supposed to have been studying, thanks apple.
