Please, someone, tell me how to permanently deactivate this stupid face ID feature on my iPhone X!!!! I want to simply input in my PIN and move on. It is a poorly conceived feature and doesn't recognize my face if I am not wearing one of my pairs of Rx glasses or if I am wearing my Rx sunglasses!!!!!!

I had issues with sunglassses too. Maybe try this before giving up on the Face ID. Settings>Face ID/Passcode>enter iPhone pin code > turn off require attention for Face ID.
If you still don’t want to use it. Settings>Face ID/Passcode>enter iPhone pin code > untick all settings.

I've worn sunglasses and was still able to use my face id to unlock the phone, the only time it wouldn't if I didn't have my face directly in front of the phone.
Incorrect! It reactivates every day when I turn my phone back on after I leave the building where I work. I said we are not allowed portable electronic devices in the building where I work.
all that tells you is how to set it up and use it, not permanently deactivate it.
No that doesn't work. I tried that already.
