I received my iPhone Xs today - and have noticed a warm tint to my iPhone Xs display (even w/ True Tone turned off). When I turn the display 15 or so degrees to the left or right the Color becomes accurate. I do Color Critical work in my profession and have a good understand of what is correct.
Anyone else having this issue?
It's just not unusual for a new screen to need some time on for colors to balance correctly. It could be the glues used for the layers in the screen to need to cure a bit. Give it some time and if after a week or so of real use, you still feel the color's are off, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar.
Im also noticing this. When you look head on, the whites are white. Tilt it slightly and they turn bluish. I've just watched a youtube video claiming there are issues with the oled screens from either Samsung or LG. Theyre not sure which one it is since they both are oled suppliers.
I’ve just picked my iphone xs up and noticed straight away the colour dint seem right.
The whites don’t looks white there more yellow/orange colour and with a slight tilt it looks more white then a lil more tilt it goes blue.
I ended up return it for an iPhone 8. The phone was incredible, don't get me wrong, but the color accuracy and viewing angle claims are a joke. I also prefer one-handed use (without having to use reach ability).
I will do so and keep everyone updated. Hope it’s not a defect.

I also have this issue, with true tone and night shift off it still look to warm than nornal. Did you solved your problem ?
I too had this issue and swapped my Max for a new one at the Apple Store. It's still there on my 2nd device but not as bad. I spoke to the Manager of the Store while I was waiting for the new iPhone to restore and she told me the Xs/Xs Max have warmer displays this year and most of the demo's in Store were the same too.
I have seen online that it could be fixed with a Software update in the future but when this happens, no one knows.
My eyes are slowly adjusting to it so just see what happens.
