AppleCare+ purchased but not activated

I ordered my iPhone Xs Max with AppleCare+ I received and setup the phone with no issues. I went to Apple’s website that lets me check how long the AppleCare+ is active but it does not show up. Apple website wants me to buy it again. The money was already taken out of my bank account but AppleCare+ is showing up. I called support twice and both times they have to transfer me to another department so I’m on hold for over 30 minutes I have to hang up because it seems that department never answers their phone. I gave the phone tech my order number I would think they could handle it without me on the phone but I’m finding out that’s not true. How do I get my AppleCare+ activated when I purchased it at the same time I bought the phone online.
