It's a known issue and Apple has not commented on the it yet. Some analysts say that it likely isn't something that software will fix and will need a "repair" done in-store or by mailing it in to Apple. Just remember you have a 14 day return policy if you want to return it and wait until they fix the problem.
Is it a known issue?
I have mine and have tested both WiFi and LTE.
LTE speeds are averaging 65 Mbps, WiFi at 380 Mbps. I am on T-mobile and using a Google WiFi router.
What troubleshooting steps have you taken?
Have you tried a reset, cleared wireless settings, restored the device as new?
It doesn’t affect every device but do a google search and you’ll find pages and pages of articles written about it.
Same thing here. I have the iPhone XS. I finally gat a new iPhone after my 7s was stolen, had to use an under 100 samsung virgin mobile phone for almost a year, and go figure, I got around 8mbps download on it. i don’t even get 1mbps on my $1000 iPhone. Maybe Apple needs to do a bit more testing if these phones out in the wild a bit more, not just in California, and maybe they should require these **** networks like Sprint to do a bit more testing too, before they allow them to sell the iPhone. This is crazy, the richest company in the world needs to stop lining the execs pockets and spend some money on their own product. This is very discouraging.
Yep tried restore, reset, and other steps. Still an issue.
