Disk hardware failure (5, 1507)

using Mac OS high Sierra 10.13.6

Had this computer around 7 years. It is very rarely used and has always been that way. Use it mainly for I-tunes.

Yet it has begun a very slow start up with ‘groaning’ noises. I have always used disk warrior and have the flash drive version 5. An update appeared for this today 5.1. When I have tried to update it did so on the version on my computer but for the flash drive said update not successful ( error 5011)

then I tried to rebuild from my updated version on my Mac and this said : Directory cannot be rebuilt due to disk hardware failure (5, 1507).

could someone please advise me on this?

thanks

vince

I will ask the Hosts to move you to the forum for iMacs made since 2006. You don't need to do anything.

You should get an e-mail from the Hosts with a link to the new location, or you can go here:

You can also click on your user name and select "View Profile," then chose the "Activity" link to see your post and its new location:

Give it an hour or so. The Hosts are busy and moves do not always take precedent.
