Many people on here were directed from a Google search, they do care what people think about this, and I’m confident will find the tone of your remarks to be rude. You are also incorrect. If you think one of the very biggest retail companies in the world does not monitor this goldmine of free customer feedback hosted here on their very own website, keep sipping the kool aid, innocent soul. No doubt their competitors monitor it, too. Data is gold. Gold is mined.
I use iOS for work too, and the lock screen on my corporate iPad is very important for access to a conversion document I need infrequently but, when I do, I need it immediately. I used two quick clicks of the lock button to make it appear from anywhere in my workflow, no matter what I am doing. No more, with this forced dummy-proofing notification. It blocks some of the conversions, forcing me to futz around swiping and clearing, while flying an aircraft. This was the only way to get access to a time-critical document at any moment in less than a second. Back to paper. My employer buys tens of thousands of iPads for us all to use. Maybe with enough feedback, we can switch to a more configurable device. For now, this is what we are stuck with.
I send the feedback to Apple too, like a lot of people, but these forums are the place where most people are directed when they search for solutions, and sometimes find out that there are none. The more angry comments, the more likely these tirades show up in Google search results, the bigger the snowball, the more direct feedback gets sent, the more likely we see a quick improvement for those of us negatively affected. Keep posting, people! And keep submitting feedback too! Ignore the angry man!
