My ITunes balance isn’t showing up?

Today I bought an iTunes gift card in order to buy an album coming out this weekend and to pay for the fortnite battlepass. I have a prepaid debit card attached to my account, but it only had 9 dollars on it, and both purchases took ten. I redeemed the $15 card I bough and went ahead and bought the battle pass. However, once it was bought, not only did it tell me my balance on ITunes was zero, but when I went to check the balance of the debit card, it had fallen to four dollars. What happened? Is the money still there?
