OP has not responded yet. Can you start a new discussion and post the output of

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

and try to upgrade to Mojave. I assume you have a macOS backup, if necessary.

Do you have a current Time Machine backup of macOS? If yes, now you can try to upgrade to Mojave.

having same issue upgrading to mojave but it seems something in the post is missing regarding the actual "fix."

I have the same issue and I am not running Parallels or any other virtual package.

You may want to start a new discussion to avoid confusion between several users seeing the same error message, but the problem being different.
