Slow to save screenshots

Good evening,

I recently updated my macbook to Mojave and I noticed it's really slow to save the screenshots in the desktop. I usually use Cmd+shift+4 to select the area to capture and the images take like 5 or 6 seconds to appear on the desktop.

I tried to disable the "Show Floating Thumbnail" by pressing Cmd+shift+5 and opening the options menu, but it still takes like 6 seconds to save the images. Any help to solve this problem would be really appreciated.

Same problem here. Very frustrating, I usually take screenshot and right away open finder to use it, and now its never there ! I have to wait until it appears..

Clearly there is something wrong with your setup.

I had the same issue and turning off the floating thumbnail fixed it.

Utterly frustrating. Have to wait a very long time, and I keep thinking I haven't done it properly so I take another screenshot and another etc and end up with a whole string of them on the desktop.

Up until this current iOS, that was never the case. Screen shots always appeared nearly instantly, regardless of what I was capturing.

What screenshots did previously has nothing to do with Mojave. I posted the link so you could report the issue to Apple.

It does more than imply an issue with Mojave. Again, that is why I suggested sending Apple feedback. I'm not sure why that's confusing. If you'd rather not let them know that's fine.
