My IPHONE Xs max is charging,when I plug my lighting cable in my phone I need a solution for this

Time will tell to be sure, but doing as you suggested worked perfectly. Charge starts right up every time, even with the screen ofF.

What if your phone dies (battery runs out) in this state? I just had it happen to me overnight and now I cannot get the phone to even charge.
Is this helping any one ? Turning in the USB accessories ?
Not sure who this is directed to, but in my case the phone charges perfectly. Acts/charges like all my previous iPhones did.
when i first got my xs it was charging and also charging. i noticed the other day my phone was plug into the charger and it wasn't charging or now its taking forever to charge.
Are those of you experiencing this using Apple chargers or those from a third party?
Charging from the Lightning port should work without the need to enable USB accessories, and that’s the way it works with my XS Max, so I’m just trying to see if we can put parameters around the issue.
