Continuity camera not working iPhone 5SE

the continuity camera feature is not working on my MacBook Air (Mid 2013) with my iPhone 5SE. I just get the message the device timed out

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

voila it started working ... just rebooted my Mac and iPhone....
