Where are the loops kept now?

Hi

I loaded some old efforts into Garageband and many of the loops could not be found.

I found them on an older computer in HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Apple Loops for Garageband and copied them over to exactly the same place on my newer iMac, then restarted.

Garage Band still says they are missing, but they are there in the finder and play (from the Finder) no problem.

Should they have been copied somewhere else?

I checked User/Library/Application Support and there's nothing there for GB, so checked User/Library/Audio and the sounds that GB can see are not there either, so assume it's looking at the main library?

Just updated to Mojave.

Any help greatly appreciated.

OK, worked it out! Did drop in the right folder, but in GarageBand you have to REINDEX loops (found at the bottom of the Loop Packs drop down menu, top right).

Hope it helps others....
