Can anyone please confirm that zooming during Screen Capture works in macOS Mojave?

macOS High Sierra broke the zoom feature when using screen capture, which required professors like me who use the zoom frequently in our recorded lectures to revert back to Sierra. You can read more about this issue and see what it looks like here:

Screen Capture Zoom not working in macOS High Sierra10.13.6

I'm interested in upgrading to Mojave, and I would greatly appreciate it if someone could please confirm that this feature is now fixed in the new macOS. If you're willing to test this, please (these instructions are based on how to do this in Sierra, so I hope they're still valid):

  1. Turn on Zoom in the Accessibility panel of System Preferences.
  2. Within the Zoom panel in Accessibility:
    1. Turn on Use scroll gesture
    2. Make sure that the Zoom style is Fullscreen
  3. Try recording the screen with a program like OBS, ScreenFlow, Camtasia, etc. There's also a new method in Mojave for recording movies of the screen by using Shift-Command-5, and I'm curious whether that solves the problem or if possible it would be solved in the S-C-5 method and not the others.
  4. Please let me know what you discover. 🙂

Thank you very much!

Tried two screen recordings using Command-Shift-5: one selecting an area of the screen and one recording the whole screen. Used the control-key-and-scroll up and down gesture to zoom in, move around, zoom out.

They both worked correctly.

Then I tried one with Quicktime Player - also worked correctly.

I do not have ScreenFlow or Camtasia, so I can't comment on that.

(But if you use these programs you probably did not need to use the Accessibility zoom feature, as they can handle zoom and more in their editing capabilities - at least that is what I remember about ScreenFlow, a few versions back)
