I need to unlock the iPhone first when calling from the Lock Screen

Hello everybody!

Without changing any settings I can't call anybody using "Hey Siri, call..." voice command from the locked iPhone without unlocking the iPhone first. It's very annoying especially in car where I use it a lot. Does anybody have the same issue?

My related Settings:

Settings/Touch ID & Passcode/Voice Dial = ENA

Settings/Touch ID & Passcode/Siri = ENA

Settings/Siri & Search/Allow Siri When Locked = ENA

Thanks for your help!

iPhone 7, iOS 12

Hi rewolwer,

I understand that you're having trouble with Siri prompting you to unlock your iPhone when you try to make a phone call. I know it's important to be able to use this feature; I'm happy to help. I see you have checked settings for Siri, and everything seems to be enabled as it should be. I'd recommend that you disable "Allow Siri When Locked" from Settings > Siri & Search, then restart your iPhone. After you've restarted, enable the feature again and test to see if the same behavior occurs.

If so, can you let me know if you're able to successfully use other Siri commands, such as sending a message, without unlocking your iPhone?

Best Regards.
