Since upgrading to Mojave I've been having problems with the bluetooth connection to my Beats Studio 3 headphones. The audio continuously cuts in and out. It's so bad that the option is to use the audio cable to connect. Has anyone else had this issue with Mojave and their bluetooth wireless headphones, and does anyone have a real solution?

I actually found the solution to my problem:
Mojave was falling back on SBC (low energy bad quality bluetooth standard) instead of higher quality AAC or AptX.
To force use of AAC to the system you can enter use terminal:
sudo defaults write bluetoothaudiod "Enable AAC codec" -bool true
To force use of AptX to the system enter:
sudo defaults write bluetoothaudiod "Enable AptX codec" -bool true

I'm also having the problem with JBL bluetooth connection. After Mc OS updated to 10.14.2 (18C54) Mojave. My JBL speaker is choppy all the time. Is it bug for this new version OS? What can I do now?

I too am having bluetooth issues. I did a clean reinstall and it worked for a short time then returned. If I use my iphone via bluetooth or plug in via headphone jack, my speakers are richer and louder. When I use the bluetooth on my MacBook Pro, the sound is far less. Any suggestions?

I have the same issue. I have been putting off upgrading, but finally did it this past weekend. Now when I try to listen to videos/music on my bluetooth it cuts in and out. It works fine if I listen with regular plug in ear phones. I have no idea how to fix it and I'm not very tech smart so I need step by step help. Do I need to make an appointment with Apple store to get them to fix? This is very annoying because I use my bluetooth all the time.
I am having a similar issue. I am currently running Mojave and my powerbeats 3 won't connect. I have tried resetting the bluetooth module, and reseting my headphones but nothing is working. The loading sign is always next to "connected" and then after a few seconds it says connection failed. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I have been having the same problem with my Airpods after upgrading to Mojave.
It seems that the blue connection keep connecting / disconnecting, making the airpods unusable.
Okay, so it's not just me.
I got the same problem with both my audio headsets. One is the Sony WH-1000XM2 and the other is a cheaper thing, but both got the same result. Being kicked out after a few seconds.
I'll give it a shot. At the very least, it won't hurt to do it.

I am having issues after a completely clean install, so I don’t think a bad upgrade is my issue. But maybe your success will help someone else.
I'm having the same issue with 2018 MacBook Pro 13" Quad Core i7 and beats studio 3 headphones.. constantly dropping in and out.. c'mon apple, update required soon?

So at least I now know that I the problem is not just that I don’t have the latest and greatest MBP.
