I just installed High Sierra and there are no drivers available for my printer/scanner on the Cannon website. Can I install the last driver that I was using?(my printer is canon mp258)

The last drivers for the Canon Pixma MP250 were for macOS Sierra (10.12), and released in Sept 2017. You can install these, but there is no assurance that they will work in High Sierra (10.13). With the printer on, you will have to reset your print system afterward.

Sierra and High Sierra are very similar especially with regards to drivers. (The clue is in their name. 😉) So I would expect a Sierra driver to work in High Sierra.

However Apple also provide their own Canon drivers. See - Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support

Apple list the Canon MP250 series (inkjet) which I am presuming would cover your MP258. You can download the current Apple provided Canon drivers here - Canon Printer Drivers v3.4 for OS X
