SLEEP TIMER FOR PODCAST NO LONGER WORKING

Since my upgrade to iOS 12, I've noticed that my sleep timer for podcast no longer properly. The podcast will not stop at the end of the podcast, it continues to play.

When listening to a podcast, I always select 'When current episode ends'. The timer starts, at the end of the episode, it rolls into the next episode. Has anyone other than me having this expereicne? How did you correct it?

Hello ChessTiger,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue when using the sleep timer in the Podcast app on your iPhone. If you haven't already, please for close the Podcast app and restart your device as iOS clears cached data and does other system optimizations when you turn your device off and on.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're still having this issue, your next step is to reinstall iOS on your device; this will help us isolate the situation further. Reinstalling iOS should not affect any of your data, but it is always a best practice to make sure you have a current backup in either iTunes or iCloud.

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Once you have a current backup, follow the steps from the "If your device turns on but gets stuck during start up" section in this article:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen

Use the “Update” option and not “Restore” and these steps will reinstall iOS. Keep in mind that these steps were written for a different issue, but they will still help us isolate the situation further.

Thanks for replying, ChessTiger, and that additional info, it really helps! Since you have tried these steps, your next step is to contact Apple for further help with your situation with the Podcast app and sleep timer.

I've attempted these solutions on both my iphone, ipad, and ipand mini. I'm sad to say that it did not work for either of those devices.
