Phone App Freezes on iOS 12 iPhone SE

A few days ago I updated to iOS 12. I'm now on 12.0 (16A366).

Today my iPhone app consistently locks up. I can launch the app, but then I can neither select nor scroll. I'm stuck on my "Recents" screen.

Restarting the app has no effect.

Restarting the phone may have brought very temporary relief. But it didn't last.

Possibly relevant: I have NoMoRobo installed, and earlier today I received a spam call and shared it with NoMoRobo as I usually do.

Anyone else having problems with the Phone app, esp. the Recents screen? Or with NoMoRobo?

Hi,

Uninstall the NoMoRobo app to test. It may not be iOS 12 compatible. (It’s up to third party app developers to update their apps for Apple’s iOS software).

If that’s not the issue you can re download it from the App Store.

I downloaded and installed iOS 12.1 public beta 5 this morning. This solved the problem for now. I will need to see how long the fix lasts.

I didn’t have nomorobo, but I had TrueCaller installed. I removed it and rebooted and everything seems to be working again. I guess iOS 12 doesn’t like those incoming call filters.

It’s not the apps. It’s iOS12. The original “solution” didn’t last. Rebooting helps temporarily. Same with reinstalling. Someone reports the newest update is better - I don’t have it yet.

My phone app freezes also after a while. I have completely restored the phone using the full image firmware and i am not using the NoMoRobo app.

Any suggestions?

Only to join the queue waiting for an iOS update. I think someone above posted that 12.1(?) seemed to fix it? Waiting for confirmation after a few days.
