iPhone XS Max video stuttering

This has been happening to me as well, I’m glad it isn’t only an issue for me. Maybe it’s the software and hopefully, it’ll be fixed soon. You could always take it into the apple store just in case so they can check it out.

Same issue! Animation lags even in all apps like instagram, safari, whatsapp and ect. stuttering in whole UI. I never seen this kind of issue in my iphone 7 or iphone 6 or iphone 5! Really annoying.

APPLE FIX THIS ISSUE PLEASE!

Anyone got any update from apple regarding this?? I managed to get a replacement for my max but the replacement device also exhibits the same stutter :(

Yeah I bought the Xs last Monday and I’ve had the same issue with the stutter and frame drops it’s really annoying. My brother and me bought the phone on the same day I asked him about it and he isn’t experiencing any lag. I hope apple realeases some update to fix this because this is really a big issue for those with the problem especially since we paid a such a big amount for this phone.

Has anyone heard of a fix for this or any word from Apple themselves if they're going to fix this? I'm really disappointed that these phones are having these issues. I never had an issue on my iPhone 7 of this kind. I'm still within my return/exchange window but would prefer to fix this issue before exchanging my phone (I have the silver XS Max 256GB).

Just bought xs max a few days back.

While playing videos, i watch a lot of videos on youtube, i am definitely experiencing lag and stuttering.

First I thought that may be i was over observing as the mobile is new but it was quite evident from my first look at the video.

The video is not smooth at all.

Apple please issue a fix for this problem.

Apple is just bull ******** customers. I got a replacement for my iPhone XS max and even that had the same issue. I saw 2 other friends with the XS max and even they have the issue.

I had raised a bug on bug reporter a month back regarding this. They still did not do anything about it. And the so called higher executive that you're talking about, well I have spoken to them as well. They will pacify you by saying sir we will now handle your case and the typical responses but in reality they will not do jack ****.

It is just impossible that apple is not aware of this issue.

This is happens to me a lot as well, its getting really annoying. I dont know if its a hardware issue or a software. But the experience for consuming video content is really annoying. I also kind off noticed this is especially prevalent when playing high quality videos. I cant even get my phone replaced anymore here in india since they dropped that policy. They will repair the phone but they cant diagnose any problem it seems. Apple support is also basically useless since they have no clue either. I hope this gets fixed asap.

I also have frame drops on nearly any video I play on my XS Max. Netflix, Amazon, YouTube all stutter and drop frames. I haven't noticed the problem on iTunes content. Very frustrating.

Ok. I will link this discussion to apple support on Twitter now. Lets see what they have to say about it.

I’m having the same issue and waiting for a fix. Has anyone checked if iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 fixed the issue or not?

Update: Problem is back so my suggestion did not fix the issue. Really hoping that Apple provides a software update soon.
