My iPhone XS Max's battery drain

Hello! I have purchased the iphone xs max 64gb and I used it for a day. It didn't last as long as i thought it would. Granted I did use it alot that day from 7am to about 1pm when at that point the battery was 38%. I'm not sure if this is normal or not, I did use the phone heavy but I simply expected it to last longer.

I heard this has a really good battery and that's not what I see so far. So I was wondering if anyone else's xs max battery didnt last the whole day. even after charging it mid day to 70% it still dropped to 40% at the end of the day.

Also when I use the phone during the screen is on, I always notice that the battery percentage drops pretty quickly.

I added a screenshot of my usage at about 1pm when my battery was around the 30%

I have an iPhone XS 256gb and have been disappointed with the battery life since I got it. I usually get less than 5 hours on screen time from a single charge. I have been to the genius bar four times and contacted support and customer services severla times; however , everyone keeps telling me the battery is performing normally. Frankly 5 hours on screen time for a £1149 phone is shocking. My recommendation to anyone who has just bought this phone would be to return it before your 14 day trial period is over. Unfortunately I didn't do this and Apple are now refusing to refund me or swap out the phone. I was advised by one Apple member of staff to sell the phone on eBay, which I am now doing.

Hi, I just bought my iPhone XS Max for the 2 month, I charged my phone to 100% battery everytime before I sleep, then i didn’t touch the phone at all over the night, when I woke up in the morning my battery percentage was drop for 20%++! So after that I do my research on what’s will drains my battery life, I switch off all the automatic downloads and everything else that will cause my battery life drains! I checked again the next day and the battery is also dropping for 10%++ over the night and it stated that the apps store background activity is running during the midnight! I compared it with my iPhone 8, but that is nothing apps store background activity running for the iPhone 8.

It is bothering me, I need a phone to continue my daily life and work, the Mac service centre request to diagnose my phone for 1-2 weeks and backup everything. I bought the new phone because I need it and I do not have any old phone for me to use.

It is a bad user experience when we pay so much for a power draining phone!

Hi, folks. I was just wondering if anybody else is having the same problem as I am. I just bought my iPhone XS Max 256 gb Space Gray, and I immediately noticed how bad the battery life is. I felt worried that I received a bad unit so I started watching youtube videos on how to tweak the settings to preserve battery life. I gave it a few days to check if it's working fine now, but I don't think it fixed it. I barely use my phone when I'm at work, and every time I check my phone, I notice that the battery percentage goes down by 1%. When I do use my phone for heavy tasks (gaming, video taking, web browsing, and social media, I can see my battery draining like water in a tub. Is this like a normal iPhone behavior? My last phone was a 6 plus and even that was not draining the battery that fast.

Same for me. I had iPhone X which batteri was better than iPhone XS Max. I’m so disappointed about these. I use a lot my device but after I began to use it at 8 am, battery drains fast and actually without having an intense use of it. I think I will go to the apple store and ask how they can help me since I don’t want to keep this iPhone if it’s going to be the way the batteries performs.

the battery on my device isn’t very good either.

charged my device last night and unplugged it around 11:30pm last night. haven’t touched it until this morning at around 8:30am and it dropped to 57%.

it dropped 43% overnight. ***!

app refreshed turned off. screen brightness on manual and at the lowest possible setting.

no amount of battery saving techniques will help.

standby time on the 8+ was great. really doubt the switch to the max was a good idea.

Hi. I got my new iPhone XS Max yesterday.

First of all it’s an amazing device.

My issue is that my battery drains super fast and only from minor use in social networks.

It says the iPhone’s screen was on for 2:24 hours. The battery is almost at 50%.

I don’t know what to do and I’m super sad of the current situation. Hope you could help me. Thanks

Has anybody found a solution to this issue? I purchased a new XS Max a few weeks ago, and the battery life has been terrible.

I’ve tried all the settings tweaks, and even resorted to a full restore from DFU mode, but it hasn’t made a difference.

The battery drains around 4-5% per hour in standby, surely this can’t be right?

the battery info in settings doesn’t help either, both screen on and screen off times are low.
