Hi - I uploaded a CD on iMac (21.5", Late 2013) and tried to synch with iPhone7 (iOS12). iPhone icon does not show up in iTunes. It does show up in Photos. I have another iPhone (6S) and same thing. I tried Apple support pages and only thing I could not try is some Security software is interfering - I don't have a separate security software.

Download the current 12.8 installer for iTunes from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
Unlock your iOS device and connect it to USB.
Install iTunes from the .dmg that you've downloaded.
During the installation it should announce that a further software update is required.
Install that and iTunes should see your device.

Something to add. I also tried to synch my iPad Air 2, same thing, no iTunes Synch, but Photos Synch. Now I tried to synch my iPod nano 6 get (with older 30 pin connector) and this synched. Thanks again. Joe
