Sometimes, when I put my phone in my pocket, the volume dial gets bumped and toggled to off and I miss calls. Is there a way for me to disable the dial?

Put a case on it. You should have a case if you carry it in a pocket, anyway.
I DO HAVE A CASE ON MY PHONE, and the dial is part of the case!! It isn't a part of the phone. I don't know if there is a case without a dial designed for the iPhone 8. That is the issue.

No- that switch applies to the buttons themselves- not the circular dial.
No- all caps are for showing emphasis. Maybe you can’t handle it? Lol
