Safari no longer supported in iPad mini 4?????

Got that "Congratulations Amazon user, you won..." Virus on my Juno email. Followed instructions to get rid of it ; settings, delete Safari history.

Virus still here!

Just followed a link from a Directvnow ad, window said "we nó longer support DTVN on Safari browser.

Followed a "get Safari, mac OS only" link, and got this:

Safari for Windows

Apple no longer offers Safari updates for Windows. Safari 5.1.7 for Windows was the last version made for Windows, and it is now outdated.

Safari works on the iPad Mini 4. You do not have a virus on the iPad, unless you have jailbroken it. That is just a popup.

The next message that you show is correct, Safari is not supported in Windows, which has nothing to do with the iPad Mini 4. Your biggest problem is following links in advertisements, that is why you keep seeing junk and popups on the device.

Well, I did not jailbreak my iPad ; I have no reason to, but I do indeed have a Virus!

It's been the source of much frustration for more than a year, occurs in rapid succession albeit occasionally, and my internet research indicates it's universal.

Here's what appears over my Juno.com email:
