I just bought my replacement iPhone X last night. Went out this afternoon and when I got back home I realized the flashlight was left turned on for 1.5 hours. What kind of damage did I do to me 22 hour old phone. Ruined the battery and bulb? I really am not happy with myself. Don’t even know how I did it.
You’re losing me here, you don’t have to worry if your iPhone is fully functional.
Leaving the flashlight on by accident happens, if it works it works. There’s nothing you can troubleshoot when there’s no issue.
LED has a very low powerconsumption, heat generation. The lifespan of the Flash outlives the entire iPhone in most cases. There are always exceptions, but judging from the “average” case. LED’s rarely or never break.
Just use your iPhone, and enjoy it.

Leaving the flash on doesn't damage your battery, it just drains it faster. The flash is an LED, LED's don't generate that much heat.
If Flashlight still works, your iPhone is just fine.

Applying the old bulb mentality, i still sometimes think the same if it will break and what not, LED is just different, the life expectancy is around 50,000 hrs or more.
if it fails generally it is the components that supplies the LED.
Why wouldn’t it work if it’s not problematic? It does work, just wondering for how long....

You didn’t. Most modern LEDS are rated at 20,000 to 50,000 hours.
