I have a green bar across my Apple Watch 4 on the Effie tower face after 9pm specifically. It lasts for approximately two hours then goes away. How do I get rid of the issue?

Hello robl83,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are seeing a green bar on your display during certain times of the day. It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:

Is the green bar only showing on the Eiffel Tower screen, or when using certain apps as well?

Have you attempted any type of reset from the watch itself, or the watch app on the paired iPhone?

Best regards.

Hi

I am also getting the same issue. I also think it’s an issue with the watch face but then I was told it could be my watch display. Everything else is showing up without an issue on the watch, so it’s hard to believe it’s not an issue with the face, because I get the exact same picture as you with the green line at the bottom of the watch. Reset of the watch does not work. Deleting and adding the face again doesn’t work. I am seeing the issue in the evening as well. I have the Apple Watch 4.

Looking at the OP’s photo of the watch face I don’t really see a green bar. There is light flare around the top of the tower, that is not really green and probably in the original photo. There is a large white banner across the bottom of the image, with a hint of a green boundary but that might be burnout or some other artefact from the photo. There seems to be a green background “highlight” around the text in the banner, which appears to come from some kind of app or complication. So which is the green line? Or is it something different I didn’t notice?

The bottom of the screen that appears to be a solid white / washed out bar is actually a green bar. It just doesn’t show up as clearly in this particular picture. Either way it distorts and distracts from this particular watch face.

Ok, it’s a bar or banner which seems to host some weather information and temperature. Where does it come from? Complication or an app overlaying the screen? I think it’s the bottom complication, so for experiment try setting the complication to Off. Also try with something else as the content for the complication, like Date just to see how they behave.
