I showed the thumbnail by clicking on the view button so that I can rearrange my pages. However, when I press and hold and try to drag the page's thumbnail, the whole section will turn blue, and then the pages would not move. Is this some kind of glitch? If not, how do I rearrange the pages?

As you have seen Pages keeps your pages together in sections.
If you Insert > Section Break at the end of each 'page' the individual pages will turn blue and you will be able to drag the page thumbnails to suit your needs.
