Can't install Mojave, what to do next?

Hi,

I've downloaded the macOS Mojave into my MacBook (via App Store) and launched it, when it's finished and ask to restart the MacBook, it says it encountered an error and ask me to relaunch it again. See the screenshot below:

What happened? What should I do to install it if the original installer from Apple won't work?

MacBook, macOS High Sierra (10.13), 12-inch, Early 2017

The macOS Mojave is already uninstalled, it no longer shows up in the Applications folder.

And I can't re-download it because the Mac App Store keep showing it as "Open" instead of "Download".

No matter, I've solved the problem by downloading the macOS Mojave from another Mac and created a bootable USB Disk with it, did the clean install and everything works fine except the iCloud Drive not showing (which I'll be discussing in another thread).

Does it always fail at the "Closing applications and preparing to restart..." stage?

If so, have you tried closing applications manually?

Yes it always fail with that one particular error info.

I've tried to close apps manually and the error persists.

I've also uninstalled the macOS Mojave update from my MacBook, I thought I'll just re-download it again from App Store, but unfortunately now whenever I open up the macOS Mojave section in App Store it always show Open button instead of Download anymore, what to do?
