I have a strange issue with screen time. I have set it up for my daughter to block all apps after 30min and it does block everything besides youtube! Anyone has the same problem? Already triple checked if youtube is somewhere in allow list but its not...

Here’s a fun one. The blocking capability IS working on my son’s iPhone, but like all kids, they find ways to circumvent. I would hear my son in the bathroom watching youtube when I know and tested it was blocked. He was opening the messaging app, which allows you to upload files or attachments. One of the options to upload in Messages is YouTube. When you click the icon, it shows what videos you’ve watched most recently, and provides a search bar to search YouTube directly. And in screen time, the messaging app is essential to allow screen time to work. I limited him to 15 minutes of using the messaging app. Just hope he never needs to text me in an emergency situation. I’ll tell you, my kids are going to earn their doctorates in finding ways to watch youtube on anything with internet access.
Another one if where you limit Facebook Messenger to let’s say 15 minutes but when they start calling using Messenger they can do so for hours, the Messenger is only blocked once they stop calling.

Same problem here. This is a big issue for our family.
I have a similar issue, but it's not YouTube but rather Roblox.
its also the same with ROBLOX game.
My kids know how to get around OurPact, so I would guess that most other kids could work that out too.
I have found ways to stop the hacks that are out there to get around it. Just got to research. Now if Screentime would only allow us to control individual apps I would be happy.
I took my 12 year old boys phone away 2 months ago. Next is the game system this month. 😁
I tried to block youtube once and it worked for me. Then I unblocked it and now it ALSO works all the time, a little too good.
I have the same problem and am looking for a way to block YouTube.
Try turning off Screen Time, powering off the phone, wait a couple minutes, then turn Screen Time back on and re-do all the settings. No promises (there's obviously something wrong with the code), but that worked my daughter's phone.
Oops, I just noticed you said 4+ apps. I have a 12 year ild ans a 15 year old. If it actually blocked youtube, I wonder if other appe will get blocked too. Also, Youtube can be accessed using Safari, which also cannot be limited on screentime restrictions.
I has this problem too, this issue was the block at end of limit setting was not synchronized between my device and my daughters iPad. For screen time to synchronize you need to activate iCloud Drive in your kids account settings!
