MS 3.4 increased cpu temp and fan issues

I ve tested this out using Istats monitoring app and 3.4 is using way more cpu and generating more heat than previous version using identical concerts.

Its unusable in a live performance for me at present so have time machined back to previous version.

My MBP fan doesn't even kick in with the previous version even with quite large concerts with 8 channel playback and multiple Kontatkt libraries open.

3.4 sets my fan going just with even very lightweight concerts!

Whats going on?

I think the new version is having multi threading issues?

MainStage, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

MacBook Pro gets hot because fan is not on Hello community, I am using a 2020 MacBook Pro Quad-Core Intel Core i5 with 16 GB of RAM. This version is the one without the M1 chip. Sometimes, the MacBook gets really hot, after which it turns on the fan at full speed, making a lot of noise. I downloaded Macs Fan Control software and saw that the fan is off (0 RPM) up until the point where it gets really hot and after which it will blow at full speed (7000 RPM). I now set the value at a constant value of 4000 RPM with the software. But I was wondering, why does Apple not make the fan simply spin all the time at a lower speed. Because this is sort of like all or or nothing behavior (it is either off and then blows full speed to cool the laptop down). Thanks for your responses!

MacBook Air 2020 cpu sits at 100 degrees Celsius? Hello, after a couple weeks of having my new MackBook air 2020, I realized the temperature would always sit around or at 100 degrees Celsius constantly and the fans would blast at full speed when I would do Microsoft Team calls and slight multitasking. If my cpu sits at 100 degrees Celsius for a long time, will this eventually kill my cpu and motherboard in the long run? Or is the MacBook Air 10th generation processors and late motherboards built to handle these operating conditions? Thanks!

GPU Fan spinning up and down after latest upgrade Hi, I have 2009 Mac Pro 4.1, flashed to 5.1, with following spec: 3.33GHz 6-core Xeon X5680 64GB RAM MSI Radeon RX580 8GB Armor macOS Mojave I had version 10.14.3 and everything was running fine, silent machine. After upgrade to 10.14.4, GPU fan started spinning up every 20 seconds for 5 seconds and then down again. GPU temperature is about 55C, just two 2560x1440 screens connected, Safari and office apps running. Also, I was using iStat Menus and with 10.14.2 I was able to control fans. I uninstalled it and installed it again after these problems with GPU has been found, however, I can't control any fan now. It's very annoying as the fans get noisy. I have also other machine with exact same setup (but GPU bios might be different) and I don't have any problem with that machine. Do you have any idea what to do with that?
