Mojave Finder Window (More)

The new finder window Info section... when you click a folder or item in the folder to look at the date, size, etc. Is now partially covered with a "More" window. I don't find this useful and covers part of the info I am looking for. Is there a way to remove it? I haven't found a way yet.

Hi Dialabrain & others,

I tried this solution but I cannot get it to work at all. I have no checkbox offering me the ability to uncheck Show Quick Actions. As others have noted, the Quick Actions panel covers up important metadata when I'm in Column-View. I would love to remove the space lost to Quick Actions. I'm attaching screenshot of what I see when I try to follow the directions (seemingly simple!) from Dialabrain...

dialabrain: you closed/deleted my post about Mojave just a few minutes ago: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8578399 stating it was about the beta. While I mentioned that I am running the beta currently, I noted in the post that this happened with the public release 10.14.0 as well. My post had nothing to do specifically with the beta. I'm happy to remove that part. The rest of the post is still valid and took me about an hour to type it all up and get the screenshots etc. I don't appreciate you just deleting it.

That did the trick. And for me, making changes seems to endure. I had to un-select "Show Quick Actions" for each file type (MS Word doc, PDF, JPG, Powerpoint presentation, etc.), but now I don't see the quick actions on any of those document types in any folder, even with a new Finder window (at least so far).

Thanks again, Dialabrain!
