How to deal with email hack

I've received an email that says I have been hack: that they have used my camera to watch me view **** and that I need to buy bitcoins and send them $800 within the next 48 hours or this all would be sent to everyone in my contacts. By the way; I don't view ****. The sent the email to my email address and used my email address as the sender. This they indicated was proof they had hacked me. They suggested they had my password which was incorrect.

I didn't reply to the email, but would like to make sure I don't have a virus. Any suggestions for an anti virus app. I do use Malwarebytes.
