activate iphone xs without internet
I'm going to Germany and I'll buy an iphone xs there. I want to know if I can activate the phone and set up the backup from my iPhone 8 saved on my Macbook air, without internet connection

You cannot activate any iOS device without internet. It needs either a WiFi or cellular data connection, or itunes on your Mac needs an internet connection if using iTunes. One of the first steps of activation is checking the device with Apple’s servers to make sure it is not activation locked, and that requires an internet connection.
